What happens when a group of singers, each prominent in her primary genre be it jazz, classical, folk or spiritual team up to create improvised song? Magic!
Join members of the singers' collective, Soho Voce, for an evening of spontaneously, joyously invented song. Using a variety of music forms in the tradition of Bobby McFerrin and Rhiannon and drawing on diverse music traditions (as well as the occasional composition), Soho Voce spins voices, ideas, and spirits into delicious improvisations. Expect the unexpected. . . you might even find yourself singing! Featuring Andrea Wolper, Germaine Ingram, Kate Richards, Laurie Newell, Marshell Kumahor, Mary Foster Conklin, Ruth Cunningham and Tia Imani Hanna.
